Seminars

GITS have repeatedly given seminars about various theological and practical topics. These seminars are for Christian laymen and Christian ministers who desire a deeper understanding of the Bible. So many people have heard about the true saving Gospel of Jesus Christ, and other gems of truth from these seminars.

GITS regularly have seminars in our campus (Graphe Independent Biblical Baptist Church) in Sunter. These seminars in Sunter are free of charge, because we do not aim to make money from it, merely to give out the truths of the Bible. A seminar would usually start in the morning (8 or 9 in the morning) and finish in the evening (3 or 4 in the evening), and always include questions-and-answers sessions. Participants of the seminar are always welcome to ask.

Besides in Sunter, Jakarta, GITS have also done seminars in various locations across Indonesia. From Medan to Abepura, from Balikpapan to Yogyakarta, Dr. Suhento Liauw, our Seminary President, and pastor of Graphe Baptist Church, have spoken in more than 75 theological seminars. The materials covered in these seminars include the way of salvation (true Gospel), as well as topics such as the Bible, the Church, the End Times, and many others. This year, 2009, GITS will again hold many seminars to equip Christians who are hungry for the truth. There are several new seminars this year, that you simply cannot miss, among others: Seminar about the word "Allah," and Seminar about Music. Can Christians use the word "Allah"? What about music in the church? Can Christians use Contemporary Christian Music? Find out the academic, theological, and most importantly, bilbical answers to these questions.
